No AC, many cats!
The good thing about Nymphes is a fantastic location with a beautiful view. However, bear in mind that the road going up to Nymphes is really rough, which makes it quite a difficult journey especially at night! It's also worth knowing that Mrs Pepy is an elderly lady with 4 cats. These cats not only run around in the hotel area, but also keep coming into your room. I didn't know that when I booked 3 nights in Nymphes for our honeymoon with my new husband who has cat allergies :) But in fact, cats were not even our biggest problem. Air conditioning in our small studio was not working! It was so hot at night that we couldn't sleep. Next morning Mrs Pepy suggested another studio for the rest of our stay. But after the second night AC in another studio stopped working, too! Mrs Pepy…...

We booked an appartment with a private pool. The view was fantastic, the appartment well equiped and the host was very friendly and always available. Herbs can be found in the garden and used for cooking. Breakfast is available upon request. We will definately come back to this nice Location....

I am in love with this place. Honestly, one of the biggest regrets of my trip to Crete was that we couldn't stay here longer, because two nights was definitely not enough. The reservation process happened entirely by e-mail and was so efficient and professional. When we finally arrived, my jaw dropped -- stunning view, pristine apartments, fantastic amenities (including a library). We were there in May, so it was too chilly to swim or even enjoy the balcony to its fullest. Since Nymphes sits atop a mountain, the wind is quite strong up there, so keep that in mind if you go during low-season. Also, it's a bit removed from the town, which sits along the water down below, so you'll need a car to come and go. Though breakfast isn't served at Nymphes, we found a small grocery…...
