An apartment with private pool in reality looks even better. It was super clean. The pool is quite deep and filled automatically every morning. The flat is spacious, with bright colors. Because the hotel is on top of the mountain, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the sea. I believe that one day I will return to this beautiful place.

The good thing about Nymphes is a fantastic location with a beautiful view. However, bear in mind that the road going up to Nymphes is really rough, which makes it quite a difficult journey especially at night! It's also worth knowing that Mrs Pepy is an elderly lady with 4 cats. These cats not only run around in the hotel area, but also keep coming into your room. I didn't know that when I booked 3 nights in Nymphes for our honeymoon with my new husband who has cat allergies :) But in fact, cats were not even our biggest problem. Air conditioning in our small studio was not working! It was so hot at night that we couldn't sleep. Next morning Mrs Pepy suggested another studio for the rest of our stay. I have been going here every year for at least 5 years, and it always is an amazing experience. Not far from Heraklion (25km/25min) and from the beach (Ag. Pelagia, ~15min by car). It is up on a hill and thus very quiet, which is always hard to find in Crete in the summer. The evenings are often cool with a night breeze, which is a blessing in the hot Cretan summer. Pepi is a wonderful host, and takes care of any requests you may have with a smile and the traditional Cretan hospitality. The views from the balconies are truly amazing and breathtaking -- I could stay on the balcony for the entire vacation. The swimming pool is 12m long, which makes it great for relaxation but also for (light) workout swimming which is also great given how much one eats in the surrounding…

This is a wonderful hideaway. Granted, it takes a bit of mettle (and God's good graces) to manage driving up/down the "challenging" - how should I say? - pathway to this perch above Agia Pelagia. But once you're there, it's not the altitude that takes your breath away. The views are spectacular! Sadly, when we were there, the mother of the owner had just passed away. But the door to our little nest was open, the room and glorious balcony were in perfect order ... and then there were the cats to keep us company in her stead. Obviously, I'm by no means ailurophobic: waking up early in the morning, watching the glorious sunset, and having one of those wonderful kittens take up housekeeping on your lap - OMG, the peace and warmth of the whole thing! We booked an appartment with a private pool. The view was fantastic, the appartment well equiped and the host was very friendly and always available. Herbs can be found in the garden and used for cooking. Breakfast is available upon request. We will definately come back to this nice Location.

We were welcomed by the extremely charming host who took care of our last minute booking and our dinner, and by a bottle of wine in the fridge! The view is breathtaking - even locals consider it one of the best on the island. Each room is well isolated and has its own terrace. Seem to be equally good for solitary travellers and for families with kids.

We had a wonderful stay at Nymphes Luxury Apartments. The place has a calm, welcoming atmosphere, and the views from every terrace are absolutely stunning. Sea, hills, and light stretching as far as you can see. The apartments are spacious, spotless, and well equipped, with a lovely pool that’s perfect after a day out exploring. The road up is quite steep, so having a car really helps, but the peace and quiet at the top make it completely worth it. A special mention to Pepy, the owner, who was incredibly kind and shared an excellent list of local tavernas and hidden gems. A great way to experience authentic Cretan food and hospitality. A perfect base for exploring the Agia Pelagia area and enjoying the island’s serene beauty.
